Malloy and Evelyn Method

Bilirubin Couples with diazotized to formed a purple colored azobilirubin complex. The intensity of the bilirubin concentration in the serum. Direct bilirhbin reacts with diazoreagent in aqueous solution to form a colored diazo-compound with in one minute. The addition of methanol accelerate the reaction of unconjugated bilirubin is obtained after the letting the specimen stand for 30 minute and observe the OD at 540 nm.
